Millbridge Heat Sheet!
Todays the day! Heat sheet is attached so please review CAREFULLY! Remember to mark your swimmers events on either their arm or leg and have their name on their back shoulder. This will help our coaches and clerks of course ensure all swimmers are in the correct events. At the bottom is how to mark your swimmer if you still have questions.
Please remember to have good sportsmanship towards the other team tonight and clean up after ourselves. Let's treat the other teams with the respect we expect at our pool.
Also, lets make sure we cheer as loudly as we can for all of our swimmers (not just our own)! Especially the ones newer to swim who are still working on their strokes.
Make sure your swimmer checks in with their designated coach as soon as they arrive, and brings everything they need including swim suit, goggles, swim cap and 2 towels.
Throughout the meet encourage your child to stick with their group on the team, its great for them to spend time with their teammates but also ensures that they wont miss any heats.
Final note: if you are curious about scoring, you are able to get live updates on the swimtopia app so make sure you download that before heading to the meet!
MARKING YOUR SWIMMER
It is very important to mark your swimmers BEFORE the meet!
To mark your swimmer(s) - Use the heat sheet and a Sharpie marker
1. Place their LAST NAME/AGE on their upper back/shoulder blade
2. Make a grid (example below) with their EVENT NUMBER "E", HEAT NUMBER "H", LANE NUMBER "L" on their forearm or upper thigh(girls). This will help your swimmer(s) to keep track of their events and the Bullpen Parent can easily locate where your swimmer needs to be.
**Sharpie holds up best during the course of a swim meet when applied on the skin BEFORE SUNSCREEN, let completely dry before applying sunscreen.
Below is an Example:
