Swim Team Week 4!

May 27th

Happy Memorial Day swim family! Only one week left to prepare for our first meet so I hope all of our swimmers are ready.   I thought we had a great week in week three and saw plenty of major improvements. Our swimmers are working hard and doing a great job of working on the things the coaches are asking of them. 

Shout Out Of The Week goes to our age 11+ Barracudas! While many of them have been busy with year round swim or other spring sports finishing up, this group has done a great job of working through the challenging practices our coaches have prepared for them.  There is a big difference in difficulty once kids move to the 11+ practices and our swimmers have embraced the challenge thus far. 

Week 4

5:00-5:45- Shrimpers ages 6 and under

5:45-6:45- Barracudas ages 7-10

6:45-7:45- Barracudas ages 11+

Monday- DAY OFF FOR MEMORIAL DAY!!!

Tuesday-Wednesday: Butterfly Focus. While we will continue to revisit the other strokes, we will spend extra time working on breaking down butterfly and developing it in the younger swimmers and fine-tuning our more experienced swimmers

Thursday: TIME TRIALS!!! 5:30-7:30. Please have your child arrive ahead of time at 5:00 for warmups. 

Fun Friday: First half of practice will be warmups and running through each stroke.  Games and relays for the second half!

Tuesday March 19th – Parent Meeting - 6:30 pm – 7:15 pm at FAC

Saturday, March 23 - Suit fitting - 9:00 am - 11:00 am at FAC

Friday May 10th – Season Kickoff Banquet

Sunday June 9th - Team Pictures at 5pm

Friday, June 28 - All-Star Meet at Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center

Sunday June 30th - End of season banquet at the FAC 6:00 pm
