Happy Sunday swim family!  We are one week through our season and besides a few doses of bad weather, we are off to a great start.  My assistant coaches and I have had a great time getting to know every one of our swimmers and are looking forward to continuing that this week.  

Shout Out Of The Week goes to our shrimpers!  Parents, you should be very proud of what your little ones were able to do in week one.  Often this group can come with a lot of tears in week one and I thought this year's group did so well diving right in! (excuse the pun)  We have an awesome group that comes ready to work hard, learn, and have fun every day! Make sure you give each one a high five for me.

Week 2

5:00-5:45- Shrimpers ages 6 and under

5:45-6:45- Barracudas ages 7-10

6:45-7:45- Barracudas ages 11+

Monday-Thursday: Backstroke Focus. While we will touch on everything this week, we will spend extra time working on breaking down backstroke and developing it in the younger swimmers and fine-tuning our more experienced swimmers

Fun Friday: First half of practice will be testing our backstroke to see how much we have learned throughout the week.  Games and relays for the second half!

Special note to the parents:  Thank you all for doing such a great job of having your swimmers at as many practices as you can and having them ready to go.  I know with busy work schedules, multiple kids to run around to various activities, and life in general, it can be difficult to make swim every night.  We not only have a great group of swimmers but our group of parents is top notch as well so thank you for what you do!
